Mike Spalding is a +12,000 hour accident and incident free Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) who flies as a professional Corporate Pilot and Warbird Demonstration Pilot. He has flown a variety of aircraft ranging from simple single engine up to complex jets, and he is also seaplane rated.

Mike grew up hanging around airports with his father and started flying out of Norfolk, VA (where he was born and raised) when he was 16. He now calls North Carolina home.

Following his love for vintage aircraft, Mike became a Demonstration Pilot with the Fighter Factory in Suffolk, VA and the Military Aviation Museum in Virginia Beach, VA, where he flies several aircraft including the AD-4 Skyraider, Grumman TBM Avenger, and the Supermarine Spitfire, among others. He was recently featured in the Military Channel's series Great Planes on the Skyraider that first aired in October 2008.

He began Planeview Aviation Services, Inc. in 2001 to provide his aviation products and services to the public, including the Planeview Aircraft Flight Log.

He currently owns a T-6 Texan, Stearman, and is restoring a Piper Pacer. He is an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) mechanic with Inspection Authorization (IA) and routinely performs maintenance on several makes and models.

Mike has been an airshow pilot for many years and a member of the Old Dominion Squadron of the Commemorative Air Force. He received his Letter of Authorization from the FAA to conduct rides in his T-6, and he plans to add his Stearman in the near future.
